Mr. Anderson has mediated/arbitrated more than 1,100 cases, ranging in value from $50,000 to 8.25 million dollars; in complexity from “slip and fall” to complicated multi-party products liability, construction accident, medical negligence and commercial claims. He is Vice Chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association, serves as Third District Section Liaison, Liaison to the Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law Section and Trial Lawyers Section; and is a member of the Mediation Committee. He is also involved on an ongoing basis to assist in the implementation of New York’s presumptive ADR initiative.
Mr. Anderson completed mediation training at the Harvard Negotiation Institute of Harvard Law School in 2010. In 2014 he was trained in commercial mediation at Fordham Law School, sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. In 2018 he completed advanced mediation training through the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Albany Law School since 2016, where he teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution to second and third year law students. Mr. Anderson also lectures on mediation and arbitration to lawyers at continuing legal education programs sponsored by the New York State Bar Association, Albany County Bar Association and the National Business Institute. In October of 2020 he chaired a program sponsored by the New York State Bar Association entitled: ADR for the Tort Litigator: What is it? Which to Choose and How to Prepare.
Additionally, his article entitled Alternative Dispute Resolution and the Personal Injury Attorney: Coming of Age, was published in the October 2020 edition of the Albany County Bar Association newsletter.
Additionally, for the past forty years, Mr. Anderson has represented clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from automobile accidents, defective products, medical negligence, construction site accidents and unsafe premises. He is managing partner of Anderson, Moschetti & Taffany, PLLC in Latham, New York, formed in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude from Colgate University in 1978 and Juris Doctor Degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1981.
Mr. Anderson is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts in New York and is a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association (former member Board of Directors), Albany, Rensselaer and Saratoga County Bar Associations, and is a past president of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association (1998-1999).
For the past four decades Mr. Anderson has lectured at programs on personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, and trial practice. He has spoken at numerous annual Decisions programs for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Society of Safety Engineers, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, National Business Institute and community organizations. In 2008 he authored a chapter on Products Liability Law for the two volume treatise The Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Action in New York, published by the New York State Bar Association; which was updated in 2021.
Mr. Anderson has been consistently voted one of the top attorneys in Upstate New York in Super Lawyers, and for more than a decade has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale- Hubbell, most recently for 2022. He has been recognized by his peers annually since 2016 for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of products liability, personal injury and medical malpractice.
