The Academy has worked cooperatively with various bodies to ensure that only the most experienced professionals are included in our member roster. Note though that there are no formal certification requirements for the private practice of mediation or arbitration in New York.

New York State Unified Court System - ADR Office

The Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution and Court Improvement Programs (ADRCIP) oversees Court-Connected ADR Programs. The Office of ADRCIP also oversees the Child Welfare Court Improvement Project, the Court Appointed Special Advocates Assistance Program and the Children's Centers Program. ADRCIP is housed within the Division of Professional and Court Services in the New York State Unified Court System Office of Court Administration. The New York State Dispute Resolution Association, Inc.
